Project Status: Monitor/Assess

The Summer Scholars is a three-week summer program followed by a year-long academic workshop that supports early access to campus resources, community, and academic coursework to ease the transition from high school/community college to college. 

Accomplished

  • Reviewed all 2024-2025 scholars holistically at the end of each term to look at key student success metrics and determine appropriate outreach
  • Held multiple registration and support events tailored to the scholars
  • Prepared all summer 2025 orientation materials
  • 82% in progress retention for the 2024-2025 cohort of scholars 

In Progress

  • Continuing to outreach to current scholars who have yet to register for fall 2025
  • Developing new curriculum for the Academic Skills course for summer 2025
  • Working closely with EM to ensure timely and correct student data 
  • Pre-registering all scholars for their Student Success FRINQ and when appropriate, their College Success course
  • Planning all engagement events for summer 2025
