Contact GDI to arrange sessions specific to your unit, department, school, student group etc. In the past we have explored topics such as microaggressions, implicit bias, developing inclusive workplaces and adopting an equity lens.

PSU Driver Authorization Forms should be retained by the employee's department.
Employees seeking authorization to operate high occupancy vans (vans which hold more than nine passengers) must first complete the process to become an authorized university vehicle driver. Once this process is complete there are additional requirements for obtaining high occupancy van driver authorization.

- Renew authorization form every two years; consists of an interview between the supervisor and employee to confirm the information on the original form

A community effort is essential to eliminate sexual and other forms of harassment in science and to build inclusive scientific climates where people can learn, grow, and thrive. PSU seeks to support these goals and we have created an easy to use template to assure research can be conducted in a inclusive and safe way. For all grant applications where NSF is the Direct or Prime sponsor, the Principal Investigator (“PI”) is responsible for determining whether any “off-campus or off-site research” will occur in their project. If off-campus or off-site research is anticipated, the PI is responsible for completing and the distributing this plan to all team members.
Boating Safety Resources
Oregon State Marine Board - All boaters who operate a motorboat with over 10 horsepower (hp) must obtain an Oregon Boaters Education card
Complete a Float Plan for every trip.
Paddle craft safety training is recommended for kayaking and canoeing.

In the past, Portland State University participated in harmful practices of taking Native American belongings and ancestors. This is a history that we are not proud of, but we accept it as our legacy and our responsibility. Portland State University is fully committed to returning all of the Native American ancestors and cultural items in our custody in an appropriate and timely manner.
To ensure we reach these goals, Portland State University now retains a NAGPRA Coordinator to manage all NAGPRA-related affairs. The NAGPRA Coordinator is overseen by the Vice President for Research & Graduate Studies. Portland State University is also working to establish new policies, procedures, and training to prevent similar harm from happening again.
