Stand Up Paddle Boarding on the Sandy

Come explore and stand up paddle board on the Sandy river, one of the Columbia river’s many tributaries! Expect mostly calm water with a few short sections of mild class 1 water while we slowly paddle past a wide variety of flora and fauna that grow along the banks of the Sandy river. Starting at Dabney park, we will travel downstream until the Sandy river meets the Lewis and Clark State recreation site. This is a great trip to hone your paddling skills on the calm water of the lower Sandy!

Difficulty Level

Moderate: Moderate physical activity and/or more challenging terrain; some previous experience is helpful, but not required.

Registration Deadline & Pre-Trip Meeting: Sign up in person at the Outdoor Program office located at 505 SW Harrison Street by May 31 at 6 pm.
