Kayaking on the Willamette

Spend a day paddling in inflatable kayaks up the Willamette river in Portland! We’ll see the city from a new perspective, learn kayaking skills, and stop at Sellwood Riverfront Park for a picnic lunch. On the trip, you will meet new people, learn about the area, and play some games to hone your paddling. All skill levels are welcome! This trip is listed as “moderate” due to the physical effort and coordination involved in paddling upriver for the first half of our journey.

Difficulty Level

Moderate: Moderate physical activity and/or more challenging terrain; some previous experience is helpful, but not required.

Registration Deadline & Pre-Trip Meeting: Sign up in person at the Outdoor Program office located at 505 SW Harrison Street by May 10 at 5 pm.
