SUPPORT THE SSWC
Services for Students with Children offers integrated services to support Portland State University students working to complete their degrees while raising young children. Through events, advocacy, peer mentorship, and subsidies. We hope to ensure that every student parent has the opportunity to complete their academic goals and provide a brighter future for themselves and their children. There are a number of ways you can support the SSWC!

Donate Clothes and Housewares for Shop for Free
Are you cleaning out your house or office? Donate your gently used clothing items or handheld housewares to the SSWC's "Shop for Free" event! Please email sswc@pdx.edu to find out when the next Shop for Free event is scheduled.
As we get closer to the event date, we will accept: Gently used toys (no stuffed or fabric-covered items), Children's clothing, Children's Books, Handheld Housewares, and School Supplies.
Volunteer for Events
We have a number of events throughout the year that require time and talent from dedicated volunteers. Volunteers do not need to have any prior experience, but a genuine interest in engaging with young children is required. A one-time background check is also required for this event unless the volunteer is a faculty or staff member of PSU and has already been screened. Contact: sswc@pdx.edu or (503) 725-9878
