Option 1

The 2.5-hour version of CPS’s Conflict Resolution program is an introductory workshop that provides essential tools for understanding and navigating common workplace disagreements. We'll explore the nature of conflict in team settings, focusing on the fundamental "whys" of conflict and the value of identifying its root sources to prevent escalation. You'll gain a better understanding of personal conflict styles—how you naturally respond to conflict—and how this awareness can be leveraged to effectively supervise and coach others through difficult situations. The session will emphasize practical communication and supervisory approaches designed to foster productive dialogue and manage teams experiencing tension.

Option 2

Going beyond more foundational concepts, the intensive 4-hour workshop deepens your ability to resolve and mediate complex team conflicts. We will begin by reviewing the nature of conflict and examining personal conflict styles to enhance self-awareness and coaching effectiveness. To ensure the training is highly relevant, we'll use insights gathered from an anonymous pre-workshop survey of participants, focusing on "real-world" conflict scenarios experienced by supervisors. The session will feature dynamic small group table discussions centered on these scenarios, where participants will collaboratively explore and develop useful supervisory approaches for managing specific team conflicts. Each group will conclude with report-outs, sharing actionable strategies and best practices with the full cohort. This format provides a comprehensive, hands-on opportunity to practice advanced conflict management and leadership skills.
