PSU STEM CENTER

BUILD EXITO has created an inviting space on campus for students from diverse backgrounds with interests in biomedical studies to further their research training through access to critical resources and services. The STEM Center supports student learning activities, offers access to student advising and services, serves as a central hub for multiple student mentoring and equity programs, and provides a home for staff of the EXITO project.

Our Shared Work

We are thrilled to be able to share this space with multiple other mentoring and support programs with a focus on student diversity and science education. Bringing these programs together in one space sparks productive exchange and collaborative mentor training and referral activities to promote greater quality and efficiency for all services.

We want this space to serve as a “home base” for PSU EXITO Scholars where they can work with peers, interact with EXITO project staff and advisers, and connect with other campus resources. For EXITO Scholars visiting the PSU campus from partner institutions for summer seminars and research experiences, this center serves as a primary point of contact for obtaining information, addressing needs, and establishing a sense of community.
