  • American Association of People with Disabilities — Largest national nonprofit cross-disability membership organization in the United States. They work to ensure economic self-sufficiency and political empowerment for all disabled Americans.

On-Campus and Local Resources

  • PSU Disability Resource Center — Provides students with disabilities provides pre-admission counseling, academic planning, and a variety of academic accommodations.
  • Disability Alliance — Service and advocacy student group whose purpose is to unity PSU disabled students and their allies in the struggle against the oppression of disabled people (ableism) at the university, in the U.S., and worldwide.
  • Independent Living Resources — Offers advocacy, information and referral, peer counseling and skills training. ILR serves people with all disabilities.
  • Oregon Commission for the Blind — Assists visually impaired Oregonians with independent living, successful employment and social self-sufficiency.
  • Oregon Advocacy Center — Nonprofit organization which provides legal advocacy services to people with disabilities in Oregon.
