Career and Job Search Resources for Students and Alumni of Color
The PSU Career Center and its staff celebrate and support all PSU students and alumni. We provide resources and services to meet the career development and job search needs of PSU's diverse student/alumni populations.
General Sites
- List of multicultural professional organizations (e.g., Association of Black Journalists; American Indian Science & Engineering Society)
- Fortune 500 companies — Article on minorities in positions of leadership.
- Diversity Inc. — A multicultural employment resource offering job-seekers the opportunity to search for jobs and get up to date job search information. Along with the Top 50 Companies for Diversity in 2006.
- DiversityWorking.com — A diversity job site for all ethnic and sexual orientation groups, where job-seekers can search for jobs (by location, industry, job listing type, or keywords), as well as post resumes.
- IMDiversity.com — Wealth of job resources, postings, and career information related to diversity.
- Top Multicultural Employers — Go directly to the corporate career and job centers of the companies viewed as having the best commitment to a diverse and multicultural workforce.

- Article on importance of college internships with links to companies looking to hire minority interns
- The Top 50 Diversity Employers for 2005 — The Black Collegian presents their annual survey, which surveys almost 7000 minority university students throughout the nation as to their "ideal employers".
Interships and Fellowships
- INROADS — Develops and places minority students/graduates in business and industry to prepare for corporate and community leadership. Includes internships for college students. Requirements: African American, Hispanic, and Native American 3.0 or better grade averages.
- internOregon — (Professional and Managerial Internships in State Employment) — The State of Oregon PROMISE Program is an internship program designed to provide professional, managerial, and technical paid work experience in state and local government agencies. The program's purpose is to increase participation of students of color in internship opportunities and future job openings in the public sector.
- Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute — Summer fellowships for minority students interested in oceanography, mathematics, marine science or oceanographic engineering.
African American
- National Black Business Trade Association (NBBTA) — includes a directory of black-owned businesses and organizations.
- Black Collegian — Career planning, job search info, profiles of employers committed to diversity and commentary by leading African American professionals.
- Black Career Women — Designed to support black women in the workforce: offers Careers section for employers to post positions and for job seekers.
- Black Enterprise — The career and job search pages of Black Enterprise Magazine's online site.
- National Urban League — Extensive site with many links and ideas; Joint career search option with Career Mosaic.
- Black World — Career Center a search engine for thousands of jobs nationally and internationally, includes a resume database, professional links, and information about business opportunities.
- HBCUCareerCenter — Job listing and resources specifically for black students and graduates, from companies and organizations that recruit HBCU talent.
Asian/Pacific Islander
- AsiaMedia — Job opportunities with Asian-friendly employers and career resources for Asian Americans
- Articles related to careers, the job market, and being of Asian descent:
- Asian American Economic Development Enterprises — Established to create business and personal growth for Asian Americans. Provides listings of jobs and internships.
- National Association of Asian-American Professionals (NAAAP) — Serves to build business and social contacts through networking opportunities for Asian-Americans. Links to local chapters as well.
- Diversity Directory — This site has links to internet career centers and job databases for positions in China, Hong Kong, and Japan.
Hispanic/Latino
- Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement — HACE maintains a resume database of Latino professionals in a wide range of disciplines. Add your resume to one of the largest database of cross-functional Latino professional talent.
- Latino Directory of Internships and Fellowships — Developed by the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute. Contains large PDF file.
- Hispanic On-line — The website of Hispanic Magazine, Includes a career center with a job-search agent.
- Saludos Hispanos — Hispanic employment service promoting workforce diversity.
- LatPro.com — Job opportunities, scholarships, fellowships, and internships as well as general information concerning Hispanic organizations.
- Ihispano — Job listings by employers actively seeking Latino/Hispanic candidates. A forum to post resumes as well.
Native American/Indiginous People
