Little Vikings Childcare Center (LV) is a small, single classroom childcare center providing drop-in and occasional care with 15 available childcare slots for children ages 0 to 12 years. LV is funded by student incidental fees, so the focus is on meeting the needs of student parents. Staff and faculty are also able to use LV, but their access may be restricted due to student need. LV’s mission is to support students with children and the university community with the means to meet their educational, personal, and professional commitments and demands. This mission is accomplished by providing quality affordable, accessible, and safe occasional and reserved childcare.
Position Summary
The Assistant Director of Little and Baby Vikings Flexible Childcare at Portland State University is responsible, with direction from the Director, for the operation, management, program planning and staffing for the Center. This includes child enrollment, tuition billing, facilities requests and needs, supply ordering, and scheduling and supervision of student employees.
This is a 1.0 position with full benefits. The starting hourly salary rate for this position is $16.71.
