Featured News - Portland's Thriving Summer

This year Portland feels fully returned from the pandemic, with both new and returning events and traditions occurring all over the city! Art, music, and other cultural events, such as “First Thursday Portland” and the Portland Rose Festival are seeing record attendance while upcoming community events such as “Movies and Music in the Park” and “Pedalpalooza Bike Festival” will keep the fun going all summer long.  The “Portland Adult Soapbox Derby”, the “Pabst Music Festival”, and many other special events (listed here) are expected to bring many locals and visitors together for food, music, and fun! In addition to all these events, many new restaurants and stores are opening downtown and throughout the city. Portland Gear, a local clothing and equipment store, started by PSU alumni, has expanded and moved their store to be closer to Powell’s Books, the Travel Portland Welcome Center, and other downtown highlights. We hope you can come enjoy Portland summer with us yet again!
