Group Visits

Portland State University offers group tours for groups of 15 - 60 prospective students (grades 9 to 12) and their chaperones in a limited capacity. Group visits are offered on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at either 10:00 AM or 1:00 PM. The visit includes a 30-minute information session and a 75-minute walking tour led by a Student Ambassador. Reservations are required and a visit must be requested at least three weeks in advance of your preferred date and time so that we may offer you the best possible visit experience.

We are unable to host guided elementary or middle school (k-8) visits. We provide resources for K-8 groups and if you are bringing 14 or fewer students, you can sign up for a campus tour. If you are bringing 15 or more students, sign up for a self-guided tour.

Please complete our Group Tour request form at least three weeks prior to your requested visit day and time. 

Once you have completed the form, you will receive an email confirming receipt of your request. Based on the information you provided, we will determine our ability to accommodate your group at the date(s) and time(s) requested. We cannot guarantee your request will be approved but will include any relevant inquiries or additional options in our reply. Group Tours are approved on a first-come, first-served basis and may be restricted during peak visitation seasons. ​Please allow for 3-5 business days for processing of your request.

Late/Cancellation Policy

Notify Campus Visits at least one week in advance of your group visit if you need to cancel, modify your agenda or student count. Notify us as early as possible if you will be late for your group visit. Late arrivals may receive an abbreviated schedule. If a group is a no-show or cancels within one week or less before the scheduled visit we cannot guarantee that we will be able to fulfill subsequent requests from the group.
