PSU SYSTEMS IMPACTED BY GLOBAL TECH OUTAGE: PSU is experiencing some disruptions due to issues related to the worldwide outage of systems that run on Microsoft Windows and Crowdstrike. 

Crowdstrike will NOT contact you directly about this issue. Do not give your personal information to anyone claiming to be from Crowdstrike.

Admissions | Hydrology Graduate Certificate

The Graduate Certificate of Hydrology is designed to give students advanced training in hydrology, and leads to professional certification with the American Institute of Hydrology (AIH).

Admissions Requirements

  • 8 undergraduate credits in physics
  • 8 undergraduate credits in chemistry
  • 8 undergraduate credits in calculus 

Admissions Deadlines

Hydrology certificate students can be admitted in the fall, winter or spring terms.

  • Fall Term: April 1
  • Winter Term: October 1
  • Spring Term: January 1

How to Apply

New Students and PSU Postbacc Students

New students who have not yet applied to PSU must first apply to PSU.

Please note, PDF copies of transcripts of college and university work are required for the online application. Unofficial transcripts are acceptable for the review process. Before you receive permission to register you will need to provide official transcripts.

 

Current Graduate Students

Students must apply to be admitted into the Hydrology Certificate at least 4 weeks in advance of applying for graduation from the program. The term of admit for the Hydrology Certificate for applicants already admitted in to a PSU master's, doctoral, or graduate certificate program will be the term in which applicants are accepted in to the Hydrology Certificate program, submit a GO-19 to the department and are registered for classes at PSU.
