  1. Charles Hollands, Electrical & Computer Science Research Faculty, and Tim Sonneman, Senior Research Associate for Electrical & Computer Engineering, received a $110,000 grant from the Department of Defense Office of Naval Research for the research “Advanced Geoacoustic Inference and Imaging from the SBP29.”
  2. Bob Liebman, Sociology emeritus faculty, Tim Anderson, Engineering & Technology Management faculty, Wu-Chang Feng, Computer Science faculty, Michael Lupro, University Studies faculty, Michael Wilson, Computer Science, and Primal Pappachan, Computer Science faculty, received a grant from the Spirit Mountain Community Fund for a weeklong residential STEAM program to bring Native American high school students to PSU to learn programming, cybersecurity, ethics/policy and filmmaking digital careers as a gateway to college and digital careers.
  3. Mary Morningstar, Special Education faculty, received a $1.9 million four-year grant from the U.S. Department of Education’s Institute of Education Science for a project titled “Transition Coalition Self-Study Plus (TCSS+): A Team-Based Professional Development to Improve Outcomes.”
  4. Aaron Roussell, Sociology faculty, Yasmeen Hanoosh, World Languages and Literatures faculty, and Gisela Rodriguez Fernandez, PhD in Sociology ‘19, received $10,500 in funding from PSU for “C3 Interdisciplinary Research Initiative Grant: Minority in number, majority in action: Black, Indigenous, and students of color solidarity movements in the Pacific Northwest.”
