Whether you want to go into elementary education or get a position as a high school science teacher, PSU’s programs will develop your skills and expand your opportunities in the field.

Choose Your Track

Early Childhood Education (pre-kindergarten)

Work in daycare centers or preschools as childcare center aids, preschool teachers, special education teachers, or administrators.

Elementary School (kindergarten - 5th grade)

As an elementary teacher, teach multiple K-5 subjects rather than specializing in a particular area.

Special Education

Work with teachers and teaching assistants to develop individualized lesson plans for students with a wide range of special needs.

Administration & Student Support

If you’d like to work in a school setting, but teaching isn’t your thing, we’ve got you covered. PSU offers programs in school counseling, education administration, and speech and hearing sciences. Each of these programs offers an alternative pathway to working in schools.

Counselor Education

PSU offers quality education to support the professional growth of educators, counselors, and human services professionals through counseling master’s programs in clinical mental health, clinical rehabilitation, relationships counseling, and school counseling.
