Prospective students seeking guidance on how to navigate any aspect of the admission process are welcome to schedule appointments with Portland State admission counselors. You can choose to meet in-person, by phone, or in a virtual Zoom meeting. To view available appointments, select the green dates displayed on the calendar. All appointments are scheduled in Pacific time.

Phaedra Brown was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. She earned an Associate of Arts degree from the Community College of Baltimore County, Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland University College, and a Master of Science degree in Higher Education from Walden University. While pursuing her bachelor’s degree she discovered her passion for higher education focusing on student access and engagement. Prior to Portland State University, Phaedra was the Assistant Director of Student Scholarships and Military Services at the University of Maryland School of Nursing located in Baltimore, Md. For the past six years Phaedra has been assisting students with their higher education goals. Phaedra relocated to Oakland, Calif. to be closer to family and assists perspective Portland State University students in the Bay Area. When Phaedra is not assisting students, she enjoys spending time with her son and family, reading a good book, discovering new restaurants, and traveling.
