Prospective students seeking guidance on how to navigate any aspect of the admission process are welcome to schedule appointments with Portland State admission counselors. You can choose to meet in-person, by phone, or in a virtual Zoom meeting. To view available appointments, select the green dates displayed on the calendar. All appointments are scheduled in Pacific time.

Dave began working at Portland State in 2004, while he was studying in the College of Education. He transitioned into an admissions counselor a year later. Dave completed his bachelor’s degree in Journalism at the University of Oregon and worked in broadcast journalism for seven years. In his current role, he loves meeting with prospective students. His work takes him across the western United States, primarily to Northern California and Utah. He says there’s nothing like seeing students excited about going to college and being in an urban location such as Portland. Dave grew up in Northern California. He now lives in Sherwood and enjoys playing softball, spending time with his family, working in the yard, and going to the coast.
