Veterans Commencement 2024 Details

Exact Date: Thursday, June 13th, 2024

This year's commencement will be taking place at the Native American Student and Community Center from 2 to 4 PM! Catering will be provided on the day and you are allowed to bring up to bring up to three guests. 

Please Note: You must have applied to graduate in order to walk at Commencement.

VRC Commencement Regalia

What is it?

This is a separate event from the larger PSU commencements and is meant to be a smaller, more intimate ceremony for the VRC community. This group holds a special place at the heart of PSU, and we would like to honor those that are graduating this year. It is a huge accomplishment!

More Information

This event is for Veteran and military-affiliated students who have graduated in Fall, Winter, or who have applied to graduate this Spring & Summer.

We host this event in the Native American Student and Community Center, and will be following the NASCC Code of Conduct during the event.

Important to note

Students must have applied to graduate in order for the Veterans Spring Commencement registration to be verified. For more information on how to apply for graduation at PSU, find information here for Undergraduate and here for Graduate

How to get a free Veteran Regailia Cord?

Please note: before receiving Veteran Cords, you must have applied for Spring and Summer graduation or have already graduated in Fall/ Winter.

All students who are walking in our Veteran Commencement will receive Veteran cords on the day (registration required). For those not attending, please email the VRC Coordinator at vrccoord@pdx.edu for eligibility and more information.
