Lactation Spaces

There are more than 15 lactation rooms available to students, staff and visitors on the Portland State University Campus.   For an interactive map visit Lactation Spaces on our google map.  If you notice any problems or maintenance needs with any of these spaces, please contact us at sswc@pdx.edu. All the rooms share a universal access code. Please complete the lactation Room Access Request Form to receive the code. The Resource Center for Students with Children provides additional amenities for the lactation rooms, including Symphony Double Pumping Kits, diapers, wipes, and breast pads. All of these items are free to students with children and available at the RCSC office, Smith 462. Staff may purchase the pumping kits for a small fee. Every lactation room has a refrigerator, sink, mirror, and changing table. If you need to make an appointment with a  lactation specialist, please email sswc@pdx.edu.These rooms are supported with student fees. Please let us know how we can support you in your parenting journey. PSU Staff, faculty, and student employees are entitled to breastfeeding breaks per Oregon Break Laws. Please remember to sign-in every time you use the room so we can track usage.
 

Off-Hour Access
Campus Public Safety can grant immediate access to Lactation Rooms by calling their Non-Emergency line
during closed hours.

Please check to make sure you have all your personal items. The RCSC is not responsible for belongings left in the lactation rooms overnight. 

**The Collaborative Life Sciences Building lactation room is managed by OHSU and is not accessible with the PSU
lactation room code. For access to this lactation room, please call the RCSC office at (503) 725-9878. You will need your ODIN and student ID #. It can take up to 24 hours for a request to be processed. Once activated, you can use your PSU ID badge for access to the room. For temporary access, the CLSB building management office can issue a temporary badge for access. Please go to the CLSB building management office, which is near the north Meade entrance, Room 1N065. Their phone number is 503-418-9960x2. The lactation room is located on the 1st floor, south side of the building, Room 1S011, next to the classroom numbered 1S008. It is near the retail shops, Starbucks, and Elephants
