Gender Equity Student Program Coordinator

The Gender Equity Student Coordinator assists students in navigating gender identity, finding affirming care, or anything else they might need support with.

Staff interested in learning how to better support trans, nonbinary, intersex, and gender-questioning students are also welcome to reach out.

Update Your ODIN Name 

If your ODIN name does not represent your lived name, please reach out to the OIT Desk using the link below! 

Update Your Name at PSU

Students who use a name that is different from their legal name can submit the First Name Override Form to update their name in most PSU systems. Bring identification and submit the form in-person at the Queer Resource Center or the registrar's office.

Update your Legal Sex Designation at PSU

Students who legally update their sex designation should update their PSU records using the Student Information Change form. The form's options include male, female, and nonbinary. Bring government-issued identification (such as a driver's license, state ID card, or passport) and submit the form in-person at the Queer Resource Center or the registrar's office.

Name and Pronoun Advocacy

The TReC supports students who need advocacy surrounding correct name and pronoun use in classes and with instructors, faculty, and staff at PSU. Complete the form below to share your needs.

Affinity Groups 

Affinity groups are spaces where students who share an identity can discuss their experiences, offer support, and build community. Some of these affinity groups include T-Time: A Trans Social Space, and QTBISOC (Queer, Trans, Black, Indigenous, and Students of Color) Affinity Group, Lesbian Affinity Group, ACE Space: A social space for folks in the ACE/ARO community, LGBTQ+ Social Space and more! 

Trans Women's Community Project at the Women's Resource Center

TWCP is a part of the Women's Resource Center's projects and community gathering spaces. TWCP centers the lives and experiences of trans women and trans femmes at PSU. Join and attend their programs to build community, share experiences, and celebrate trans lives and history through storytelling, activities, and dialogue.

SHAC Transgender Health Care Resource Guide 

The center for Student Health and Counseling (SHAC) offers a comprehensive health guide for transgender students. It includes information on SHAC's Queer and Trans Care Team, health resources, referral information, guidance for PSU's health insurance plan, and answers to frequently asked questions.

Legal Name and Gender Update Support

Student Legal Services offers support for students seeking to update their name and/or legal gender marker. Complete the intake form below to get in contact with SLS to find out more information.

Campus Housing

All gender housing at PSU is intended to provide comfortable living options for all students. It is a roommate matching option wherein any two students can share a unit (i.e. residence hall, apartment) regardless of gender.
