During the MPA program, you will participate in foundational courses in public administration, administrative ethics and values, administrative theory and behavior, public policy, administrative law and policy implementation, public budgeting, financial management, human resource management, and analytic methods.

The Hatfield School of Government's leading-edge Master of Public Policy degree is designed to meet the growing demand for public policy professionals. The degree is built on the disciplinary foundations public policy studies within the fields of political science and public administration.
The doctoral degree in Public Affairs and Policy is an interdisciplinary program of study. It is administered through the Mark O. Hatfield School of Government, but draws on faculty from the entire College of Urban and Public Affairs. The curriculum of the Ph.D. program focuses on governance and the integrated study of political, economic, administrative, and policy processes in the public sector. Through their coursework and research, students encounter a range of theoretical and practical policy issues at the local, state, national, and international levels.
