The Office of International Affairs is honored to host a number of special programs, centers and institutes promoting cultural understanding and engagement across the globe. Through our centers and institutes we offer opportunities for growing in knowledge and understanding of particular regions, including seminars, cultural events and language classes.

Institute for Asian Studies

The PSU Institute for Asian Studies is an interdisciplinary, administrative unit connecting over 70 faculty and academic professionals, across more than 30 departments at PSU. IAS promotes knowledge and understanding about Asia via scholarly activities, public programs, scholarships and more.

Middle East Studies Center

The Center's core responsibilities are academic: to help sponsor conferences, speakers, training programs, and other relevant events and activities related to Middle East studies. One of our major goals is to strengthen Middle East studies at PSU.
