Housing & Residence Life

Students under the age of 20 and who graduated high school less than a year prior to enrolling at PSU qualify for our First Year Experience program. First Year students who live more than 25 miles from campus are required to live in University Housing for their first year.

At Portland State, we have more transfer, continuing, and graduate students living on campus than first year students. Our apartment style living complements your needs, with in-unit kitchens and private bathrooms in most units.  

Graduate students are welcome to live in any of our housing buildings. Most live in Blumel Hall for its apartment style feel.
