Student employees
PSU student employees are important contributors to our school community. Our PSU student employees are studying in various departments and come with a range of previous experiences of working with children. During their time with us, they gain knowledge about our center’s philosophy and valuable work experience. They receive ongoing mentorship and support from classroom lead teachers, center coordinators and the director. Student employees are a vital part of our Center. They bring in a high level of commitment to their work, rich diversity of perspectives, fresh energy and enthusiasm, and a wide range of prior professional and work experiences.
Student teachers assist the lead classroom teachers in carrying out daily routines, contribute to maintaining a positive, healthy and safe environment for the children, and help provide optimal indoor and outdoor supervision. Student employees learn classroom techniques for appropriate interactions with young children and work cooperatively as part of the teaching team.
