Non-Degree Enrollment
Enrollment is available to Non-Degree students. In fulfillment of the University mission, Non-Degree status is a means of access to higher education for those who seek courses for edification and enrichment, or to restart a college program.
As a Non-Degree student, you are not formally admitted to the University, but you may enroll in as many as 8 credits in Fall, Winter, and Spring, and up to 21 credits in Summer. Certain courses that require a prerequisite or formal University admission are not available to Non-Degree students.
Limitations
In considering whether to enroll as a Non-Degree student or to apply for admission, be sure to weigh ease of access against your educational goals and academic needs.
- Student services such as financial aid, career counseling, and transfer evaluation are not available to Non-Degree students.
- Non-Degree students are eligible for services at the Center for Student Health and Counseling and for the Basic Insurance Plan if they have registered for five or more credit hours per term. A non-refundable Health Service fee is assessed for all students registered for five or more credits.
- Registration for Non-Degree students begins after all formally admitted students. Therefore, courses with limited space may be filled before Non-Degree students are able to register.

Note: Non-Degree students are subject to the same rules as formally admitted students with regard to Academic Standards and registration deadlines (add, drop, tuition refunds, grade change option, etc.)
