MURP workshop project wins first CUTC award granted to a student group

“Nixyáawii Watikš,” a MURP workshop project spotlighted on the TSUSP blog last November after earning the Student Achievement Award from the Oregon American Planning Association, has earned another award. 

 

The Council of University Transportation Centers (CUTC) added a new student award in 2023: the CUTC Student Group Award, which is given annually to up to four student groups for the best group paper. The six alumni—Owen ChristoffersonSara GoldsteinNick HadfieldZhuoheng (Brian) LiuGenevieve (Jenny) Mazzella, and Victoria Young—earned this distinction with their multi-use path proposal for Pendleton, Oregon and the Umatilla Indian Reservation. Read the proposal here.

 

Dr. Jennifer Dill, a TSUSP professor and the director of the Transportation Research and Education Center (TREC), received the award on the students’ behalf at the CUTC banquet in DC.
