  1. Mitra Naseh, social work faculty, has been selected to be part of the Council on Social Work Education cohort of Scholars in Global and Intercultural Competence in recognition of innovations in education. Cohort members will receive a small grant to support the implementation of the global and intercultural curricular resource in social work courses.
  2. Dara Shifrer, sociology faculty, and Ned Tilbrook, graduate student, had their research “Domain-Specific Cultural Capital and Persistence in College Majors” featured in articles in ScienceDaily, ANI News, and Mint Lounge.
  3. Marta Stelmaszak Rosa, business faculty, received a Best Reviewer Award for track AI in Business and Society at the International Conference on Information Systems 2021.
  4. Jack Straton, physics and university studies faculty, had one of his photographs chosen to be part of the August 2021 Group Art Show at Jones Gallery from Aug. 4-26 in Kansas City, Missouri.
