Student Resident & Overnight Permits

Academic Year Resident Permits:

Residential Permits are for University Housing and University Pointe at College Station residents ONLY, allowing for daily and overnight parking in select locations.

Must be purchased for the entire academic year
Billed to the student account at $468 per term (Fall, Winter, and Spring) for a total of $1,404
Permit is valid 9/16/23-6/26/24

University Pointe Residents

Residents of University Pointe can request and purchase a permit online by filling out the University Pointe Resident Intake Form. University Pointe residents who are not enrolled in classes will be billed via email invoice at the beginning of each quarter for the entire academic year (Fall, Winter, Spring) until the permit expires or services are canceled. Permit holders must initiate a return to stop billing.

Academic Year Overnight Permits:

Overnight Permits are for students living nearby in off-campus housing, allowing for daily and overnight parking in select locations.

Must be purchased for the entire academic year
Billed to the student account at $468 per term (Fall, Winter, and Spring) for a total of $1,404
Permit is valid from 9/16/23-6/26/24

Purchasing a Permit

We are no longer offering online permit purchasing. All permits must be purchased in person at the Transportation office.

NOTE: PSU is not responsible or liable for damage to or theft of your vehicle or its contents.

Permit Regulations and Locations

Permits may only be utilized by one vehicle at a time, and the vehicle must be registered with PSU Transportation & Parking Services.
Parking permits are only valid for the times and locations listed.
If you are driving to campus less frequently, you may choose to use Hourly & Visitor parking as an alternative to purchasing a permit.

Note: Quantities are limited and tend to sell out quickly. We recommend purchasing permits online before move-in.

Accessible Parking

Accessible/disabled parking spaces are available in all parking lots and structures operated by PSU. Any PSU parking permit is valid in any accessible space, regardless of location, when displaying a valid DMV disabled parking placard. Day and time restrictions still apply to time-limited PSU permits.

Permit Refunds

Parking permit charges are based on possession of the permit, not use. Pro-rated refunds are available until the end of week eight for fall, winter, and spring terms. Permits must be physically returned to Transportation & Parking as soon as they are no longer needed to receive the maximum refund available. Please visit our office at 1812 SW 6th Avenue to initiate a return.

Account Privacy

All account information including name, contact, license plate, permit history, citation history, and account balances are kept private by PSU. This information is only used for business purposes and is not disclosed to individuals other than the account holder. Valid account number, license plate, or citation number must be provided in order to obtain any of the information listed above, or information deemed private to the account by PSU staff.
