All across campus PSU departments and resource centers are opening their spaces to transfer students for conversation, food, and fun giveaways! There will also be classes, tabling, and workshops. View the table below for more info!

Deep Water X

This little-to-no impact class gives you the opportunity to get a great workout without putting any added stress on your joints. With a variety of cardio, core, and strength work you can look forward to a full body workout, using the water to do moves we can’t do on land. Deep Water X is ideal for participants of all body types, abilities, and fitness levels. No swim experience required!

Field Trip to the Oregon Historical Society Museum

We’re excited to welcome any and all Future Connect students, whether you've already transferred or are planning to transfer, to celebrate Transfer Appreciation Day by discovering the stories that have helped shape Oregon! Join us in exploring interactive museum exhibits that are minutes from PSU. This is a FREE Event. Bring PSU Student ID and proof of Multnomah county residency if possible! Register to confirm attendance.

Gentle Yoga

This slow-paced and alignment-based practice facilitates ease and awareness in the body through using a combination of gentle yin yoga stretches to release tension in the fascia, restorative poses, and breathing and meditation techniques. Gentle Yoga is appropriate for anyone from the absolute beginner to the experienced yogi looking to bring an element of deep relaxation to their practice.

Application Workshops are an opportunity for you to learn more about the Portland State University student experience. Admissions representations will be available to answer questions about the transfer process, applying to PSU, and our academic programs. PSU will waive the $60 application fee for attendees. Take your first step to studying abroad with PSU by attending this Ed Abroad 101 session! Don’t assume that it’s too late to go abroad once you transfer to PSU, in fact, the majority of PSU students who study abroad are transfer students! Tons of short-term, academic-specific programs and internships allow you to stay on track for graduation. Many of the programs are low-cost and we even offer credit-bearing international internships. Whether you study overseas for two weeks or a year, there is a program that will fit your individual needs!

Get your resume reviewed before the Spring All Majors & Accounting Career Fair on April 23rd! Career coaches will be available on-campus to help you craft a strong resume that reflects your skills and experience. This event is part of PSU's annual Transfer Appreciation Day celebration. If you're a transfer student, stop by to get your resume reviewed and learn tips for making the most of your college experience and how to jump start your career! Transfer Appreciation Student Climb Night!

Join the Outdoor Program and other transfer students at the Campus Rec for an introduction to the Climbing Center. Drop in anytime during the event, or arrive at 4:30pm for introductions and an overview of the space. Before heading to the Climbing Center please make sure to complete the climber orientation quiz at Member Services. Then grab a wristband and some climbing shoes at the Equipment Check-Out Desk, and you'll be ready to climb! If you need accommodations or adaptive climbing equipment please email the Outdoor Program: odp@pdx.edu.

Full Body Strength

This full body resistance training class will help you realize your strength through the use of free weights, body bars, and more to work every major muscle group in the body. Instruction and participation focus is on correct lifting techniques, with the use of light to moderate weights and higher repetitions. Use the energy of class to help you reach your goals!

At the Transfer Open House you will visit the PSU campus and connect with Admissions staff, the Transfer and Returning Student Resource Center, and current students. We’ll go over the transfer admissions process, how your credits will transfer, and review the admissions application. PSU will waive the $60 application fee for Transfer Open House attendees.

A transfer champion is someone in the transfer community who supported you or made a positive impact during your transfer student experience, whether peers/students, faculty, or staff at PSU.
