What do you plan to do with your fluency in Russian? I plan on using fluency in Russian in the professional world.

What attracted you to the PSU Russian Flagship? The intensive Russian grammar and content courses, small class sizes, and incredibly helpful professors attracted me to this program. The resources that the Russian Flagship program provides were also a huge factor in my decision.

What’s the best aspect of being in the PSU Russian Flagship? The intensive courses, availability of professors, and one on one tutoring are all great aspects! To me, though, the best aspect of this program is that everyone is incredibly kind and helpful. The Russian Flagship community is wonderful.

Why is fluency in Russian important to you? This language is understudied, despite there being a huge population of Russian speakers all over the world, and here in the USA. I’ve always seen the importance in foreign language study. I chose Russian not only because of the amount of Russian-speaking communities in Oregon but also because it presents a linguistic challenge that has made this language very fun to learn.
