Kailin’s approach to philanthropy as the team lead for the College of the Arts, Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art, and Honors College at Portland State University Foundation (PSUF) is exploratory and community-centered. Prior to joining PSUF five years ago, Kailin held fundraising positions at Freedom Education Project Puget Sound and University District Food Bank. She worked as a flute instructor for nine years at several community music schools in the Greater Seattle Area.

Kailin earned her Bachelor's Degree in Music; Women and Gender Studies from Rice University and is enrolled in the Executive MPA program at the Portland State University (PSU), Hatfield School of Government. She holds a Certificate in Fundraising Management, Non-Profit Development from the University of Washington and a Certificate in Managerial Resilience from PSU.

In her free time, Kailin enjoys camping with her wife on the Oregon Coast, particularly at Cape Disappointment which sits within the traditional territory of the Chinook tribes, who called the cape "Kah'eese.” She also enjoys creating music with others as a form of storytelling and social justice, and is always looking for people to jam with. If this is you, let’s make waves!
