Eileen Stein will be teaching PA 582 Public Budgeting in the Fall and Spring terms, and PA 585 Public Finance in the  and in the Winter 2021 term.  She also participates with Peter Fernandez in co-teaching PA 515 Public Works during the winter term.  Eileen was the City Manager for the City of West Linn from 2016 to 2020. She also served as the Mount Angel City Manager from 2013 to 2016 and Sisters City Manager from 2002 to 2013. Prior to that, she held local government management positions in Springfield, Oregon, Rio Rancho, New Mexico, and Pasadena, California. 

Eileen chairs the Local Government Advisory Committee for Portland State University which links the academic community with practioners in the field of local government.  She has served on the Board of Directors for the League of Oregon Cities from 2015 to 2018 and was President of the Oregon City/County Management Association in 2011 and on the Board from 2008-2012. She is an ICMA Credentialed Manager, a graduate of ICMA’s Senior Executive Institute, and participant of ICMA's inaugural Athenian Project.

Eileen holds Masters in Business and Public Administration from the University of California, Irvine and a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science from UC Irvine.
