Incoming Oregon First Years Receive $5,100 Scholarship to Cover Tuition

The Park Blocks Scholarship is a merit-based award for resident first-time first-year applicants whose annual family household income is $100,000 or less. Program funding is available to first-time, first year students for up to four years (does not cover summer term).

Award Amount: $5,100 annually for up to four years

Eligibility

  • Oregon resident
  • First-time first year PSU student
  • Start in fall term 2025
  • Cumulative unweighted high school GPA of 3.2 or higher
  • Not eligible to receive the Pell Grant AND family’s annual household income is $100,000 or less as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
  • Enroll full time (12 or more credits per term)

Students receiving the Staff Tuition Discount are not eligible for this program.

Incoming students will be notified in their financial aid offer of their award.

Maintaining the PSU Park Blocks Scholarship

The PSU Park Blocks Scholarship is renewable for up to 12 academic terms for incoming first year students. Scholarship recipients are required to enroll in a minimum of 12 credits per term and 36 credits per year, maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher, and submit the FAFSA by February 1 to maintain the award.
