Reserve Officers Training Corp

Portland State University offers an extensive, hands-on Army Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) program that trains dynamic, engaged leaders to be prepared to answer the Nation’s call.

The United States Army is a diverse collective of individuals from all walks of life, who aspire to be something more. The Portland State Army ROTC Program teaches Cadets how to inspire and lead these individuals towards a collective success, whether it be on the battlefield, during a humanitarian crisis, or contributing to their own local community. ROTC trains to be physically and mentally tough, providing the ability to thrive and lead through adversity to achieve success in any environment or situation.

If you are interested in a meaningful career of service and leadership and would like to inquire about the many scholarship opportunities and financial benefits of Army ROTC, please contact any of the faculty listed in the "Contact ROTC" link above or the recruiting officer, Mr. Dave Romero at romero@up.edu or (503) 943-8064.

The Portland State University Army ROTC Detachment is a part of the Pilot Battalion, based out of the University of Portland just across the river.
