Electerro Claims First Prize at Invent Oregon

Electerro, a solar and wind generator built to resemble a birch tree, won top honors at the Invent Oregon Collegiate Challenge on June 25, taking home a $10,000 prize for a prototype that promises to deliver power without the impact of a utility-scale electricity generation.

THE OREGON BIOSCIENCE ASSOCIATION

Founded in 1989, the Oregon Bioscience Association (Oregon Bio), a 501(c)(6) non-profit trade organization, develops and advances the bioscience industry in Oregon and Southwest Washington. Formed through a consortium of partners including universities, public officials, and bioscience industry professionals to foster the region's growing ecosystem, Oregon Bio now represents 1,000 companies, labs, institutions and organizations, including Oregon's research universities, ranging in size from small startups to multinational corporations.

Edgewise Therapeutics

Edgewise Therapeutics, a Boulder, Colorado-based clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company, focuses on discovering, developing, and commercializing innovative treatments for severe, rare muscle disorders. Edgewise recently expanded its operation, opening a satellite facility within the Portland State Business Accelerator.
