2019-20 Senior Exit Survey Report
The Senior Exit Survey is an annual survey conducted by Portland State University’s (PSU) Office of Institutional Research and Planning to understand the academic experiences and post-graduation plans of graduating seniors. The survey asks questions related to the overall PSU experience, reasons for choosing an undergraduate field of study, interaction with faculty and staff, and post-graduation plans. The survey was emailed on April 13, 2020, to 2,877 students who had applied to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in fall 2019, winter 2020, and spring 2020. When the survey closed on June 1, 2020, some 1,068 students responded to the survey, a response rate of about 37 percent. Among those who responded, about 94 percent (1,006 students) completed the entire survey.

2017-18 Senior Exit Survey Report
The Senior Exit Survey is conducted by the Office of Institutional Research and Planning at Portland State University (PSU) to understand seniors’ perceptions about PSU’s undergraduate program. The survey asks questions about students’ overall PSU experience, interaction with faculty and staff while attending PSU, and post-graduation plans. It was emailed to 3,820 students who applied to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in fall 2017, winter 2018, and spring 2018.  There were 1,276 students who completed the survey, a 33% response rate.

2014-2015 Senior Exit Survey Report
During spring 2015, Portland State University (PSU) surveyed graduating seniors about their undergraduate experiences and post-graduation plans. The survey was emailed to 2,112 students who had applied to graduate with a bachelor’s degree at the end of Spring Term. A total of 667 students (32 percent) completed the survey. Respondent demographic characteristics closely mirrored those of the PSU undergraduate population.  

Data Supplement: How Did Revenue and Spending per Student Change at PSU Between 2006-07 and 2011-12?
A recent Postsecondary Analytics report sponsored by the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU) examined the change in revenue and spending per student at colleges and universities across the country. The report presented aggregate results for groups of institutions based on Carnegie classifications. This data supplement provides institution-level data for Portland State University (PSU) compared to other Carnegie “high-research” public institutions and other APLU-member institutions for each of the measures included in the original report. Change is measured from 2006-07 through 2011-12.
