Additional Map Notes:
- BA Second Language 101, 102, 103, 201, 202, and 203: ASL 101-203 can be used to meet the BA language requirement.
- General Elective: For ASHA requirements if pursuing graduate school: Need 1 Biological Science, 1 non-SPHR Social Science, and 1 Physics or Chemistry course. If not, then General Elective.
- Sophomore Inquiry or Honors: For University Studies, two Sophomore Inquiry courses are required, but for Honors, three Sophomore courses are required.
- STAT 243Z and STAT 244: SOC 396 can be taken instead of STAT 244. STAT 243Z is not specifically required for the major.
- Race and Ethnic Studies Requirement: Two courses required, each minimum 3 credits: one course must focus on the U.S. experience; the second course must center the experiences of groups under European and U.S. colonialism and imperialism beyond the United States. One must be within the School of Gender, Race and Nations or be cross-listed with one of the SGRN units: Black Studies (BST), Chicanx/Latinx Studies (CHLA), Indigenous Nations Studies (NAS), or Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies (WS). If you choose a RESR course that can be applied towards another requirement, take an elective here instead.
- SPHR 487, 488, and 489: For students interested in Audiology graduate school, it is recommended to take the Audiology sequence of courses (487, 488, 489) during their 3rd year.
- SPHR Elective: Choose from SPHR 383, 385, 410, 471, 473, 480, 485, 491 or other Advisor approved electives. May be taken any term/swapped in place of General Electives.
- You may need to add additional general elective credits to your plan to reach 180 total credits.
