Stefanie Cruz (she/her) was born and raised in Southern Oregon, where her family settled after leaving El Salvador. Stefanie, a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), joined SHAC’s Counseling Services as a part-time therapist in the spring of 2022. Stefanie has been practicing therapy for 7 years, having worked in school settings, community mental health and private practice. Stefanie's therapeutic approach is through a system lens, meaning she seeks to understand one's lived experience through their own unique intersectional identity. When not at SHAC Stefanie enjoys spending time with her family, taking walks with her son around the neighborhood, and watching documentaries.
