Sarah CCC-SLP

Sarah's research focuses on exploring the relationships between linguistic processing and cognition following brain injury, especially traumatic brain injury and stroke. She is on the advisory board for Brain Injury Connections Northwest, and supports the Friends program pairing PSU students with survivors of brain injury. She uses behavioral and electrophysiological (ERP/EEG) methods to examine specific aspects of cognition and sentence comprehension. She enjoys teaching about language and the brain, neurological illness and injury, and introducing students to the field of speech-language pathology. She particularly enjoys supporting students in their active pursuit of their own research and clinical goals.
