Born and raised in Portland & Durham, Oregon, Mimi Bruce (she/her) has been with PSU since January 2022 where she serves as the Patient Care Coordinator, stationed at the nurse’s desk to assist patients with referrals & radiology orders. She also serves as administrative support for a variety of interesting and kind folks in SHAC Admin and Health Services. The best thing about her job is time spent getting to interact with PSU students and staff from all walks of life and places around the world.
Mimi has a bachelor’s degree in Social Science from PSU and is working on expanding that education for a future role in counseling. In the meantime she has worked and played a variety of roles in life including mom of three, catering kitchen chopper & chief recycler- composter, pilot in training, English tutor, student & bit part player in 1980s Tokyo, Japan.
In her free time, you can find Mimi in her garden, talking about breakfast and dinner plans with Sasha the Dog, reading, journaling, laughing, visiting & eating with dear friends, spouse and 3 adult kids. She is planning on going on more day hikes, so please leave your suggestions at her desk
