Maya (she/her) is a licensed psychologist and the Coordinator of Assessment Services. She obtained her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the Teachers College, Columbia University and her doctorate in Counseling Psychology from the University of Missouri – Columbia. She completed her APA-accredited predoctoral internship from Vanderbilt University. Maya has gained clinical experience with diverse client populations in various settings including alternative education, higher education, and community mental health. She has a strong background in multicultural counseling and her clinical interests include intersectional identity exploration, culturally informed mental health services, and psychological assessment of neurodevelopmental disorders including ADHD and learning disorders.

As a clinician, Maya utilizes a collaborative and strengths-based approach to identify factors that could be hindering student academic, emotional, and social functioning. Outside of work, Maya enjoys figure skating, hiking, and having movie marathons with friends.
