Originally from Arizona, Launa (she/her) relocated to Oregon this past year, and has recently started with SHAC where she serves as a Medical Assistant. She comes from a multicultural African-American and Indigenous background and is currently working on finishing her B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Neuroscience, on a Pre-Med track.
Launa is passionate about the racial and social disparities in health equity and hopes to contribute to a holistic approach to community-focused care throughout her academic and professional pursuits.
In her free time, you can find Launa cooking, traveling, trail running, and spending time with her husband and close friends.
