Kathy (she/her) is a queer identified Licensed Clinical Social Worker with SHAC since 2019. She has BAs in English Literature and Sociology and a MSW in Social Work from PSU. Yay humanities! She has been working as a therapist since 2004 and believes it is life changing, meaningful work.

Kathy enjoys working with trauma survivors, LQBTQ/Queer identified folks, folks with complicated family of origin relationships, relationship issues, anxiety, and folks who struggle to listen and trust their own perceptions and knowledge. She has training in Internal Family Systems, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Polyvagal Theory, Narrative Therapy, Intercultural Awareness in Counseling, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. She is committed to continual learning and unlearning for her work to be empowering and liberating.

Outside of SHAC, Kathy enjoys nature, water, reading, writing, traveling, plant and dog parenting, community and environmental care, and trying to be a better cook.
