Dr. Jingjing Chen joined the School of Business at Portland State University as an Assistant Professor of Finance. She holds a Ph.D. in finance from Washington State University and has previously taught at Northeastern University.

Dr. Chen’s research interests include empirical asset pricing, market microstructure, derivatives, and sustainable investment. She is currently working on research topics related to information shocks and asset prices, return anomaly and predictability, and sustainable investment and regulations. Her work has been published in the Journal of Banking and Finance and has garnered recognition and interest in both the academic community and the financial industry. Dr. Chen is committed to contributing to student success through teaching a variety of courses, including Investments, Financial Analytics and Modeling, Corporate Finance, and Quantitative Portfolio Management. She is well-versed in teaching quantitative finance, programming, and data analytics and has received a college-wide outstanding teaching award.

In addition to her academic work, Jingjing is active in outdoor activities such as tennis, golf, biking, and hiking.
