Jessie Weisstein

Jessie Weisstein (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) at SHAC.  She has been working at PSU in this role since 2017.  She grew up in the Boston area and Brooklyn, NY.  She received her undergraduate degree from Sarah Lawrence College in 2001 and her Master's of Social Work from Smith College School for Social Work in 2010.

Jessie's clinical practice is trauma informed and person centered.  She enjoys working with people who are navigating difficulties in their family of origin, survivors of abuse, BIPOC and LGBTQ clients and parents.  She is EMDR trained, IFS informed and believes strongly in the power of relationships to both form who we are and to heal. She provides clinical supervision and serves on the JEDI (justice, equity, diversity and inclusion) committee at SHAC.

In her free time you can find her hiking, sewing and cheering for basketball teams who never seem to win (go Knicks).
