Originally from Southern Oregon - Jackie Krowen (she/her) is a registered nurse (RN) at the Center for Student Health & Counseling (SHAC).
She has been with PSU off and on for nearly 20 years. As a student she worked with toddlers at Helen Gordon while completing a bachelor's degree in Theater. She left Portland briefly to complete a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from the University of Rochester in New York. Jackie has been a nurse at SHAC since 2011. She triages patients, assists providers, administers testosterone and estrogen therapies and is also trained as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner.
In her free time, you can find Jackie avoiding strenuous exercise, watching tv and movies and dissecting them in excruciating detail, attempting to keep plants alive, reading the last page of all books because not knowing makes her anxious, and entertaining her two cats.
