Faith Purnell


Faith Purnell, MS., CCC-SLP, graduated from Portland State University in 2013. She is an alumna of ASHA’s Minority Student Leadership Program (MSLP) Class of 2010. As a current full-time staff Speech-Language Pathologist and a Clinical Supervisor at the Portland VA Medical Center, she works across the continuum of care from critical care to outpatient, including ALS Multidisciplinary Clinic. Since 2017 she has volunteered as an ASHA Student to Empowered Professional (STEP) Mentor. She has received three Awards for Continuing Education (ACE) from ASHA. Her clinical interests include validated tools to interpret instrumental studies, Implementation Science, and programs designed to increase the representation of ethnically and racially diverse clinicians in healthcare.
