Caterina Paun (she/her) is a Senior Instructor of Computer Science in the Maseeh College of Engineering and Computer Science at Portland State University. She is a developer, designer, international speaker, and educator who is passionate about improving learning outcomes and building communities. Her area of expertise includes web development, full stack, front end, user experience, and voice-enabled applications.
Prior to joining PSU, Caterina worked in various engineering and management roles for large tech companies and startups. Outside of work, she is the Senior Director of Women Who Code Portland, the local chapter of a large nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring women to excel in technology careers. She is serves as an Advocate for Women in Voice and she is on the Industry Advisory Council for Thinkful. She received B.S. and B.A. degrees in Computer Science and French from the University of Southern California and she holds a M.S. in Computer Science from Portland State University.
