Profiles Steven Ostling

Steven supports all of NPCC's programs. He joined the center in 2017 as the budget administrator. When asked why he does this work, Steven responded: "I believe that stability is the cornerstone of an organization. An organization can do the work most effectively when it has a stable internal environment to rely upon!"

 

Before joining NPCC, Steven was an accountant in the Office of Dean of the College of Urban and Public Affairs at PSU. Before that, he was an accountant in the fiscal department of the County of San Diego Department of Health and Human Services. Steven is licensed by the Internal Revenue service as an enrolled agent. He received his master's degree in taxation from Portland State University and his bachelor's in accounting from San Diego State University. When Steven is not at work, he enjoys making things with his hands: music, food, art, bread, beer and kombucha to name a few. He also enjoys the ocean, walking around the woods, fishing, and cycling in the forest.
