University Communications wins top CASE awards

The staff in University Communications has won eight awards, including six gold medals, from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education for excellence in communications and marketing in 2017.

CASE is the largest higher education advocacy organization in North America. CASE Region VIII represents colleges and universities in Oregon, Washington, Montana, Idaho, Alaska and six provinces in western Canada.

The awards are: 

  • Gold medal for the successful marketing campaign for PSU’s “Four Years Free” program, which offers free tuition and mandatory fees to qualified incoming freshmen. 
  • Two gold medals in separate categories for the content and design of the “Find Your Place” student recruitment viewbook brochure. 
  • A gold medal for the “How to Transfer to PSU” recruitment video.   
  • A gold medal for the innovative “Culturally Responsive Training Series” diversity program. 
  • A gold medal for the launch of the new identity branding of athletics. 
  • A silver medal in the advertising for student recruitment category for the “Four Years Free” campaign. 
  • A silver medal in the innovation in video category for the “How to Transfer to PSU” video.  

The awards will be presented in February at the annual Region VIII conference in Seattle.
